Megan Cunningham, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Loras College (Go Duhawks!) and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University. Megan has been working with children for almost 14 years in many different settings and, throughout her social work profession, has supported children and families in both school settings and private practice. She has extensive experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and has worked with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and developmental needs. In addition to supporting her clients Megan is committed to partnering with families and has experience facilitating social emotional learning groups and parent support meetings.

Megan embraces the DIR (Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-Based) Model. Utilizing this model, she brings a relationship-based therapeutic approach to her clients helping them to be empowered. Megan believes that building a strong relationship and obtaining regulation is the key to a successful therapeutic process. She promotes utilizing play and an individual’s strengths to further support their ability to process different emotional themes. Megan is passionate about helping others learn and grow to build higher emotional capacities and understanding. Her goal in working with individuals is to make them feel strong and capable in order to establish independence in all aspects of life.

In her free time Megan loves spending time with her friends, younger sister, parents, and large extended family. As well as her fur babies Miley her dog and Minnie her cat. She loves traveling, going for walks, going to concerts, and yoga.
