Proposed Change to Early Intervention Illinois

We wanted to share a news clip about the upcoming budget changes (a reductions of $23 million) and proposed new eligibility criteria for Early Intervention. Early Intervention is the state run program providing therapy to children from birth to three years of age with developmental disabilities and delays. Illinois currently has an eligibility criteria of a 30% delay, however the Governor has proposed changing this to a 50% delay. This change would effectively cut half the children out of the program. At All Bright Therapies we are strongly opposed to these changes and encourage our families to reach out to their state senators and voice you opposition to the proposed changes.
