Speech, OT Summer Groups

We are excited to announce the following groups for the summer of 2015! Groups will run for 10 weeks, from June 22- August 28. Preschool Prep Group: This group is run by a Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist This group is designed for children between 2 and 4 years of age. The group                                      follows a preschool format, including separating from mom and dad, gym time, circle time, songs, snack, craft, story time and sensory/messy play. Children will work on building their social skills to be able to better participate in the preschool environment and build relationships with peers. This group is appropriate for children who: have difficulty separating from their parents, struggle to engage with peers, demonstrate delays in their speech, fine motor or sensory skills which negatively impact their social skills. This group is capped at 5 children and run by two therapists Preschool Prep Group meets weekly for a 75 minutes session The cost of this group is $75.00 per session Grip Group/Beginning Printer Group: This group is run by an Occupational Therapist The cost of this group is $65.00 …

Autism Speaks Walk Team

Setting Limits on Screen Time for Kids

May is better speech and hearing month, so we figured we would start the month off with a great article about kids and screen time. We all love your devices, so it no surprise that our kids love them too! But we need to remember that children need lots of interaction with others, play time, movement and activity to develop their skills.
